OT: Remote Desktop Connection doesn't trigger MSN Messenger to set mode as back

Hello dears.

I've recently switched from Trillian for MSN to MSN Messenger. I
connect to my desktop PC upstairs via WiFi from my laptop with Remote
Desktop Connection on XP Pro SP2.

When I 'plug in' via RDC it causes Trillian to set me as Back but MSN
leaves me as Away, probably not seeing the keypresses/mouse movements.
Trillian can see these.

Can you think of a way of making MSN Messenger seeing them in the same
way as Trillian?

There's an option in MSN to not mark you away when using remote tools.

Otherwise just set it manually.
