Ah yes. I remember stalking alt.digitiser in my late teens. I brought
frequent pleasure to many of the passers by. I last posted in about
2003 and then ran, ran far away from alt.groups. Ever since though, I
have regularly checked to see if my name is still mentioned. The fact
that it has cropped up once a year, at least, has brought me huge
amounts of pride. I am truly a legend of alt.digitiser. But, alas,
times have changed. I have much more stubble now, encyclodigi has
disappeared and where oh where is my old friend thegreatcthultu? I was
saddened obviously by the slow death of ch4 digitiser. First the humour
went and then well we were left with planet game or whatever the shaun
lucas it was called. Now alt.digitiser seems to be a shadow of its
former self. I remember when there would be new posts every hour as
opposed to every week. Its a trend unfortunately that most newsgroups
seem to have experienced over the last few years, although I hear that
alt.binaries.donkeyporn is still thriving as ever. Is there any future
for alt.digitiser, sadly I don't think there is, so many people have
left and there seems to be a helping of spam in here as well. Now that
ch4 digitiser is gone, there will be no youngsters coming through the
ranks. Its a shame the way that alt.digitiser seems to have run its
course, but these things happen
